Little Gym to open near The Streets at Southpoint

The location will open in January.

The Little Gym is scheduled to open near The Streets at Southpoint in January. The location will be at 202 W. NC Hwy 54 in Southpoint Crossing Shopping Center.

Sneha Atwal, owner of The LIttle Gym of Durham & Chapel Hill, tells me that the new location will replace the former spot at 2501 University Dr. in Durham. The business will relocate to the Southpoint area over the Christmas holidays and is scheduled to reopen Jan. 2, she said.

The Little Gym is designed for kids ages 4 months to 12 years and focuses on motor skills development. While gymnastics play a big role in the program, classes also incorporate sports, games, listening and cooperation.

"The Southpoint area has been identified as a prime location for The Little Gym," said Atwal, owner of the current The Little Gym of Durham & Chapel Hill in a press release. "We are confident that our programs and services will be a great fit for the youth of the community, and we are eager to introduce our unique approach to skill growth and development and learning to the area."
