Listen to Your Mother, the live show featuring stories about motherhood, is looking for a few good Triangle writers to tell those stories at the next show on May 4.

Listen to Your Mother is a national series of storytelling events that happen around Mother's Day. Local organizers run the individual events. Triangle moms/writers/much more Marty Long and KeAnne Hoeg are behind the Raleigh show.

In its fourth year, the show will be doing things a bit different. This time, it will be held at Jones Auditorium at Meredith College. Also, instead of interested writers submitting their pieces, they'll move straight to auditions this year. Audition dates are Feb. 4 or Feb. 7 at DogwoodVu Studios and Feb. 6 at Cameron Village Library. Stories should be no more than five minutes long.

You don't have to be a mother to participate to Listen to Your Mother. You just have to have a story that covers motherhood - the good times, the sad times, the funny times, the tragic and more.

Listen to Your Mother's website has all of the information. And if you don't have a story to tell, make plans to attend. These are really fun nights - great for a moms night out!
