This town bills itself as the gateway Duplin County, motto "Big enough for business, Small enough for people." It has a population of 3,051 and hosts the oldest continuous veterans' celebration in the U.S., started in 1921.
La Grange has lots of pretty gardens, began as a railroad town and was heavily burned during the Civil War.
This Franklin County town was named fo rKing Louis XVI of France. Today, it's home to Louisburg College, the International Whistlers Convention and a population of 3,111.
This mountain summer resort town resembles the Swiss Alps. It has great views of Mount Mitchell, Table Rock and Grandfather Mountain. It was founded in 1909 before the Blue Ridge Parkway was built.
