Comfortable shoes

What are your favorite shoes when it comes to comfort? Please share your thoughts.

I recently bought two pairs of dress shoes – one brown and one black. The salesman told me they were perfect for people who spend a lot of time walking through airports. I liked the look of the loafers. They are made by Clarks. Now I don’t want to wear anything else. Life is too short for sore feet.

What brand do you recommend for comfortable shoes?

I like Clarks too! I've tried the Dansko but not comfortable on my feet :( Clarks, Crocs, Rainbows & New Balance keep this teacher's feet happy. I think you would agree that if your feet hurt you hurt all over and I can't afford to be uncomfortable at school. There are too many other pressing issures to attend!

Clarks, Mephisto and Dansko, hands down. I don't care how much they cost---good,well-made, comfortable shoes are worth the money spent.

New Balance on special order because of my narrow flat feet.

Clarks Wallaabees - hands down.

...oops! I kept saying Princess Nikes in the post below but I meant to say Princess Reebok!! It's way too early in the morning for this retired person to be awake. Now where's my cup of coffee!!

What a great topic, Bill!! I, too, love to go barefoot whether it's summer or winter. If I need to go farther than my mailbox then my tye dye flipflops were the best, until my Border Collie ate them, but if I need to do a lot of walking I always call out my white Princess Nikes; they make me feel like a queen. Years ago I took notice of what shoes I saw nurses wearing and I invested in a pair of the Nikes. I fell in love in Belks. I was a special education teacher for 28 years and I was like a little kid with my pristine white shoes on the first day of school every single year and I would feel a pang of sadness when I got my first scuff! My shoes were so comfortable I always kept my previous year's shoes for my yard work and would throw them in the washing machine over and over. I've traveled to 5 countries with my beloved shoes. Princess Nikes. Don't leave home without them!

Absolutely SAS....the only shoes I bought one morning, wore them out of the store, shopped and ran errands all day, and when I took them off to go to bed....my feet were still happy ! They are worth every penny they cost...and last and last.

danskos are so comfortable, but they are not pretty. They are great to wear with jeans. My favorite work out shoes are asics or New Balance!

For maximum comfort, I go barefoot. Even if the winter unless it is wet or REALLY cold (

SAS are great.
