WRAL Meterologist Elizabeth Gardner came back from the mountains this week with a scrumptious restaurant review and it spawned a question: What North Carolina restaurant has the best salmon recipe?
Elizabeth describes the salmon entree at Bistro Roca in Blowing Rock as "absolutely incredible." The fresh and robust flavor of the fish is accentuated by a delicious red pepper cream sauce and basmati rice cake with asparagus and a deep-friend Anaheim pepper on top. As Lizzy put it: "this dish knocked my socks off!" By the way, for a decadent appetizer, Elizabeth recommends the house cut potato chips with bleu cheese sauce.
I'm also a huge salmon fan. Some of my favorite recipes come from 18 Seaboard and Second Empire.
