100 Days of Fitness - Day 11

Posted November 18, 2010

What’s a light cardio workout that you enjoy? Feel free to offer your suggestions. I’m going to take it a bit easier today. This is easy effort recovery day.

Yesterday was intense – the toughest workout yet in our 100 Days of Fitness. Coach Tara Wind cracked the whipped and had me sweating big time as I was running, jumping and lifting. I loved the pace, however, and the variety. I think that’s why I never took up golf. I like to sweat when I work out.

I will perspire today but it will be a gentle sweat. I think I will enjoy this beautiful weather and go for a light run around a lake. Where’s my stopwatch? I need to set it for 50 minutes.

lynne1931 you're right about the dog - Rufus could give me a great workout this PM! ncsu91938 I've just started using the step machine. I pretend I'm climbing the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse!

I have just recently joined our local gym and love the nu-step machine. Just set it to the level you want and step away! I love it because you can sit down while you are doing it too.

Hi Bill.... I put the leash on my little dog and we go for a walk. By the time we get back I feel like I have had a great workout. She likes to walk fast. :)

Thank you so much, aloflin! Your comments are greatly appreciated! Yoga is on my to-do list.

Go outside for a bike ride, go walking, do yoga, do an exercise DVD or show, etc. Have fun! I love reading your blogs. Gives me inspiration to mix up my routine. And yes, to me if you are not pouring sweat, you are not getting a good enough workout!
