Sky on Fire Bill Leslie: Sky on Fire

Sky on Fire is what we're calling our latest photo and music essay. It features dozens of stunning sunrise and sunset images contributed by our Carolina Conversations bloggers. You emailed me pictures from as far away as Thailand and Ontario.

There were so many beautiful photographs I had to use the longest song on my new album to cover them all. Coinleach Glas an Fhomhair, an ancient Celtic melody, runs more than six minutes.

I am going to let you decide who wins the Best Photograph contest. Pick your favorite image on this slideshow by posting the time that it runs in the comment section. We will declare a winner on Friday. That person will receive a signed copy of my new CD Simple Beauty.

I would like to get your reaction to Sky on Fire. I felt so relaxed after viewing the images. I could feel my blood pressure going down and a sweet sense of peace enveloped me. How about you?

WOW! that was so very beautiful and peaceful. Thank you for the music and the visual. I guess I would say that 2:10 is my favorite, though it really is a hard choice!

    3:03 gets my vote.

Another wonderful video, Mr Leslie! Many great shots, I would have to watch the video another 2-3 time to pick what I consider the best. Glad to see one of my shots I submitted to you made it into the video, thanks!

I loved all the scenes but I am partial to 2:46!! It is from my pier at Emerald Isle!! :)

Those pictures reminded me so much of ones I have taken in the past. They are truly beautiful. Sky on Fire is what I called mine also.

They are all beautiful, and the music moved me tremendously. This was just what I needed on a Monday - thank you Bill!

This is another beautiful presentation. All the pictures are awesome. I vote for 6:22. "The heavens are telling of the glory of God; and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands." Psalm 19:1

What a wonderful way to end my lunch hour. I vote for the 1st one, the bridge (.55), and the mountains (1.00).

Thanks for such wonderful music and photography. Pick me for the new CD! :) Nancy Evans
