We have a real treat today - a special slideshow featuring the incredible waterfall images of Kevin Adams of High Point. Kevin is a legendary photographer who literally wrote the book on North Carolina waterfalls.

I first interviewed Kevin nearly a dozen years ago about the fourth printing of his book North Carolina Waterfalls - Where to Find Them - How to Photograph Them. Later I interviewed Kevin for his book on how to photograph mountain wildflowers. Today Kevin travels extensively and conducts photography workshops. He also has an interesting blog. I was thrilled when Kevin agreed to collaborate with me on this musical essay titled Cascade Johnny. The song honors my California friend John Gummoe who composed the song Rhythm of the Rain for a west coast group called The Cascades. John became my pen pal when I was a child and encouraged me to get into songwriting. We're still good friends today. The song is on my latest CD Simple Beauty.
