What's the best cheeseburger you've had lately? The topic came up this morning when we ran a story on WRAL about the OMG Burger. A California restaurant has a four lb. burger featuring 12 slices of cheese, a whole head of iceburg lettuce, two whole tomatoes, a whole onion, and a few kosher dill pickles. The Oh My God Burger is served with 4 lbs. of french fries. It costs $35 and serves 8 to 10 people.
I had a great cheeseburger last week at Johnson's in Siler City on my way to a wilderness hike near Asheboro. I also love Char-Grill cheeseburgers. Other favorites among our morning news crew include Jones Cafe in Clayton, P.T.'s in Wilmington, Cubby's also in Wilmington, along with 5 Guys and Sonic.
