Uniquely Southern

Posted Updated

One of the nice things about this blog is the involvement from people all over the state. You don't just read it.  You also offer great ideas. I'd like to enlist your help again today.

I received an email from Pam Saulsby last evening.  Here's what she wrote:

"I have a good friend who is hosting relatives from Australia. She wants to take them somewhere that is uniquely Southern. Got any ideas?"

Three restaurants came to mind immediately: Crook's Corner in Chapel Hill, 18 Seaboard in Raleigh and Lucky 32's Southern Kitchen in Cary. Kelcey Carlson recommended Mama Dip's in Chapel Hill and The State Farmer's Market Restaurant in Raleigh. Elizabeth Gardner chimed in with Big Ed's in Raleigh and The Glenwood Grill.

What about you? What uniquely Southern restaurant and/or event would you recommend for these adventuresome Aussies?
