Winter musings
Forgive me for rambling this morning but I’d like to write about several unrelated topics.

First off, I am really excited about traveling to Asheville this weekend to emcee the Celtic Adventure Weekend at the Grove Park Inn. Organizers describe it as a place where “artistry and passion collide in a dream weekend for lovers of all things Celtic.” High energy Gaelic Storm will be performing as will Alex Beaton, Henri’s Notions, The Clancy Legacy and some group called Bill Leslie & Lorica! Please come join us. I’ve just polished my Celtic shoes and cleaned my kilt complete with the Leslie tartan. The weather will be great for a grand weekend in Asheville at the Grove Park Inn.

I’m in one of those giddy moods this morning following a visit to my podiatrist. He gave me the green light to resume running after foot surgery nearly four weeks ago. I didn’t exactly cause the treadmill to overheat on my first day back but I did run for 30 minutes and it felt great. Thanks tor Dr. Andy Milner for his great surgical work and to all of you for your kind thoughts and prayers. Soon I will be back running on The American Tobacco Trail again.

If you haven’t checked out the WRAL Love Stories on our homepage please do. They are a lot of fun. Feel free to share your own love stories. I would love to hear them.

I do a lot of things in this business. However I had never modeled clothes until last week. Check out the next issue of Cary Magazine. Gerald Owens and I will be featured trying on some new spring fashions for men!

Finally, we have chosen a winner of the February’s Finest blog contest. We put all of the posters’ names in a hat and pulled one out. The name chosen is thinknc. Will thinknc please email me at bleslie@wral.com and tell me your name and mailing address so I can send you a copy of by book Blue Ridge Reunion? Thanks!
