Has anyone been to a cool new restaurant lately? I’m pretty excited about a new place in Raleigh. Remember South at North Hills? Well, there’s a new restaurant in its place. It’s called Coquette (ko-KETT) and however you say it, it’s delicious. A friend from Virginia is in town this week and he insisted on treating Cindy and me to dinner at Coquette.
The atmosphere is fun and lively even on a Wednesday evening. If you’re into French comfort food you’ll love this place. From hors o’deuvres to escargots you can’t go wrong. The walnut crusted salmon was sensational. My buddy loved his trout dish. We also enjoyed a triple dose of excellent desserts. It was a pleasure meeting the highly creative Chef de Cuisine Rob Bland.
I can’t wait to go back and try the hamburger and steak frites.
What about you? Have been there and if so what were your impressions? Have you enjoyed any other new restaurants lately?
