Write Your Town's Slogan

Posted August 9, 2007

If you could write a slogan for your hometown what would it be? Have fun with this.

I live in Cary and I love it there but I know my town has taken some heat from outsiders. Officially, the slogan is “The Technology Town of North Carolina.” Unofficially it is “Congested Area of Relocated Yankees.”

You could add to Cary’s list: “Better than Beige.”

What about your town?  Write a slogan and share.  Also, feel free to write a slogan for a town other than your own.  Thanks.

Isn't Cary's slogan "Please Buckle Up"? That's what those stupid digital signs say.

Oh, I remember seeing this on a T-shirt once:
Raleigh, where Barney goes to party!
with a big picture of Barney Fife on it.

Coats - Just don't go there.
Clayton - At least it's not Garner.

Fuquay-Varina - "We love our illegals!" or maybe "English: it's optional!"

    Cary - "Family, Environment, Innovation"

Rocky Mount - "One Step Backwards for Mankind"

Wendell: "Let's give Knightdale and Zebulon 'the business.'"

PS: I have always thought that if Efland had just transposed two letters, they would have had a Keebler cookie factory.

Raleigh: "City of Oak Veneer" because most everything our city leaders claim is nothing but a facade.
