Vacation Game

Are you taking a vacation this summer? If so, where are you going and why? Have those high gasoline prices affected your vacation decisions. Let's discuss.

I’ll be on vacation next week so Carolina Conversations will take a brief breather.

I'm guessing Colorado...we'll miss Carolina Conversations while you're away! We have a granddaughter's arrival to plan for by July 11th, so no big vacation plans here! Maybe a beach trip later in the summer!! Hope you have a great trip!

my guess is jordan lake. have fun be safe wherever you go. Every1 knows its suppose to be pretty warm this week.

My guess would be kayaking in whitewater somewhere. Whatever you do, be safe and have fun.

Just a wild guess, (because of Elizabeth's input)....white water rafting on the New River or Gauley in W. Va...we did the trip in 2003 before our son left for the Navy...when you are on the river, your mind is only on making it over the rapids! What wonderful sleep (even in a tent) after a day of physical and mental exercise! Where ever your vacation takes you have a wonderful time and a safe journey.Peace be with you and yours.

What a beautiful evening, and we did not have to leave Cary. We fired up the fire pit and sat on the patio enjoy strawberry daiquiris. I cannot remember the last time I saw so many fireflies in the natural area out back. Oh yes, I love the mountains, especially around the Blowing Rock area. But, this was so peaceful; a little bit of heaven right here in Cary.

I will be going to Duck NC for a week in August and to the Rod Run in Tennesee one weekend in September. Can't wait for either of these, but I really am looking forward to the mountain trip, because I haven't been back there since I was 12.
