NC's Most Beautiful Street

What is the most beautiful street in North Carolina? Where can you go in springtime and find the most mesmirizing array of blossoms under a thick green canopy of trees? Where can you find that poetic place gushing with vibrant hues and flowery fragrances?

Where is that perfect street where photographers go to snap award-winning pictures in the warm light of early morning or the golden glow of late afternoon?

Here are some of my favorites. Please share your favorite spots.

St. Mary's Street - Raleigh
Anderson Drive - Raleigh
Sunset Drive - Greensboro
West Union Street - Morganton
Selwyn Avenue - Charlotte
Charlotte Street  - Asheville (near the golf course)

(Here's another entry from Garner)

main street in blowing rock is one of the most beautiful places on earth. spring is especially nice there but at christmas time it is the greatest!!! i agree old shull's mill road just out of town is very beautiful as well. wonderland trail is nice also. have a great day bill!!!!!

BILLY BYRD

Main Street through Benson is gorgeous. Old houses, immaculate yards. At Christmas, the decorations are awesome.

Aniger Ave in Durham

I'm partial to Stratford Road in Winston-Salem. Old houses and older trees.

Tenny Cirlce is also beautiful in Chapel Hill in the springtime!!!!!!!!

Franklin street in Chapel Hill is lovely also in the springtime!!!!!!!!

As an "ole Wilson boy", Nash St. and Raleigh Rd. in Wilson are beautiful. But if you've ever been on Shulls Mill Rd (runs between Hwy 105 and US 221 on the back side of Blowing Rock)on a late summer afternoon after a quick rain shower blows through, you are mighty close to heaven. It like a green cathedral with the air hanging so heavy and sweet that it almost makes you dizzy to breathe it in so deep. On a tough day I try to close my eyes and just imagine I'm there....

The main street is Zebulon used to be beautiful, old houses, trees arched over the road like a tunnel. They all got cut down, why I'll never know!!

McKay Avenue in Dunn - By the Coats' house. The trees, flowers and azealas are great!!

Historic North Main Street in Wake Forest is beautiful in the spring as well.
