Weekend Getaway: Dogwood Festival

WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner is predicting some great weather for Fayetteville's annual Dogwood Festival this weekend. You can make Lynda Loveland and Valonda Calloway a part of your weekend getaway. They will be signing autographs at this popular festival on Saturday. I love downtown Fayetteville where the festival takes place. The area has been restored and has a nice neat and sharp look. A lot of jokes are made about this military town but it really is a great place with friendly people and a rich history. This weekend you will find everything from sporting events to midway rides to live music including Hootie and the Blowfish. Friday night highlights include a beach music street dance.
