Weekend Getaway: Cary

We're going to help you with time management this weekend. Spend a few minutes and write out your Christmas list. Don't forget all the teachers, neighbors, family and friends. Take that list to Cary with you Saturday between 9:00A.M. and 5:00P.M. Go downtown to the 30th annual Lazy Daze festival. It'll be packed with some of the best arts and crafts vendors in the country. You can purchase a plethora of colorful, beautiful and unique items from the inexpensive to the luxurious. You won't get all of your Christmas shopping done but you'll get a head start and you might be able to relax a little lit when November and December roll around. It's going to be hot so pack plenty of water and sunscreen. Avoid the traffic snarls by parking at Cary Towne Centre and taking the shuttle bus. Cary has added a number of new shuttles this year so your wait will not be very long. Joy Cox with the town of Cary says you will also hear from some outstanding musical groups on various stages.
