Want to win a Christmas album? I will tell how in just a moment. First, I’m really excited about a holiday musical performance this coming Saturday night in Raleigh. I’ll be performing with my Celtic group Lorica and the awesome 192 voice NC Master Chorale led by Dr. Al Sturgis. The show starts at 8PM in Meymandi Hall at the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts and will be rebroadcast at a later date statewide on UNC-TV. I hope many of you will come and celebrate the season with familiar carols and some newer pieces that I composed for my "Christmas in Carolina" CD last year. I can't begin to tell you what a thrill it is to have Raleigh's premiere choral group lend its rich and vibrant voices to my songs "Ring of Evergreen, "Road to Bethlehem," and the traditional spiritual "Sweet Little Jesus Boy." If you have never heard the NC Master Chorale you are in for a real treat! For ticket information call (919) 856-9700 or check out the group's website.
Okay. You can win a copy of my "Christmas in Carolina" CD (which was voted Best Holiday Album by international radio hosts last year) by blogging here now. What is the most interesting story you know about Christmas caroling? It may be a funny or poignant story from your youth about a special holiday song or caroling experience. I can't wait to hear your stories!
