5 Fighters vs. Breast Cancer

"Be Bold, Be Beautiful, Be Compassionate"

--- Jeanne Peck

Those are the words of the local founder of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.  Jeanne's passion is shared by the "5 fighters."  We are all on fire about finding a cure for breast cancer.

If you're curious about how we fight out loud to raise awareness about early detection and education programs for men and women in our community, then you can watch us in action tomorrow.

Brenna, Aolani, Janice, Sean and I are going to be at Whole Foods in Raleigh around lunchtime on Wednesday.  It's the store that's located right off Wade Avenue.

We have some fun, free give-aways to share with everyone we meet.  Our mission tomorrow is to encourage folks to participate in the KOMEN NC Triangle Race for the Cure.  If you don't already know, the big event is June 10 at Meredith College.

We're calling our event: The 5 fighters vs. Breast Cancer.  What we want to do is get a good mix of everybody out there at Whole Foods, not just one specific race or population. No discrimination.  You know why?  Because breast cancer doesn't discriminate.  It treats everybody the same.

If this sounds like a cause you can get behind, we would love to see you at Whole Foods off Wade Avenue in Raleigh tomorrow afternoon at 12:30.

Did I already say we have some free pink stuff we'd love to give you, to help you strut your stuff in the fight against breast cancer?    WE DO!!
