Exotic Pet Expo Opens This Weekend

The Carolina Reptile & Exotic Animal Show is celebrating it's 10th year in Raleigh at the Exposition Center this weekend. Thousands of reptiles, birds and exotic pets will be on dispaly and for sale. Click here for a list of vendors.

Kids can keep busy with the petting zoo, pony and camel rides and even a vist with Animal Planet's Roark Ferguson. Also on hand will be "Clyde" the Giant Python  and interactive shows for the entire family.

What: The Carolina Reptile & Exotic Animal Show
When: May 5 & 6, 2007 -- 10AM - 5 PM
Where: Exposition Center, NC State Fairgrounds
Cost: $8. Free for kids 5 and under

    Actually, Clyde won't be at the show. She (yes, she!) passed away a few years ago. :'-( Instead, Clyde's owner has been bringing Scooter... almost as giant as Clyde was.

    Burmese pythons are cool, as long as they have responsible owners who have a clue what they are getting themselves into! :)
