Barking points: WRAL's dog blog

Hi! I'm WRAL's newsroom dog. I spend most of my work day sleeping in my mom's office, when I'm not getting petted and walked by my newsroom pals. I will also be featured on some upcoming WRAL-TV and WRAL.com segments.

I'm a puppy school graduate

Hi Everybody!

Have ya missed me? I’ve been very busy and just have so much to share. I did graduate from puppy school at Teamworks and got my STAR puppy achievement. Yay me! Ms. Christie even gave me sort of a pre-test for Canine Good Citizen and she said I did really really good for a pup! I had a little trouble focusing when Dad brushed me, but we’ve been working on that this week so I’m doin’ better. And going to Doggie Dayschool has helped me with recall, and walking on my leader, and just being an all-round good puppy. I can’t wait to start my next class…I get to do agility stuff! Woo hoo! I like having a job to do. Being the newsroom doggie is a great job, but since they won’t let me write the news or read the news on TV, I need something else to keep me busy. I tried destroying stuff around the newsroom, but they didn’t think that was a good job for me either. LOL! Sometimes people in the newsroom can be so uptight. But Mr. Mike is the greatest…he is never uptight with me! He let me be on his weather segment Friday to talk about being in the Canine Partners program with the AKC. I was a very good boy for him too. [just think…string cheese!!!] I was also on LIVE@ with my buddy Brian Shrader and he and Mom laughed a lot for some reason. They like it when I talk I think. They think I am funny. I think they are funny, but whatever. Oh! And we talked about my new game on WRAL.com called TRACMAN! It is SOOOOOO cool! I’m off my leash at the fair and Ms. Debra, Mr. Cullen, and Mr. Mike are chasing me and trying to get me back on my leash. It is so fun…especially when I get to eat a turkey leg or ice cream cone. Haha! Come see me at the NC State Fair in the WRAL tent and I promise I won’t eat YOUR turkey leg or ice cream cone. Paws crossed!

Later!

Great to see an adopted/rescued dog has so many resources available. Unfortunately, there are many folks who are struggling with adopted/rescued children who do not have the money or resources available.

Way to graduate, Tracker! Now...just to remember what you were taught...so mom, dad, and all the WRAL staff will be soooo proud! Congrats! Now, on to your next adventure! There's probably a "graduate" program for you at a local school.

YAY! Congratulations on finshing the class Tracker! Now, go and be a good boy for Mom and Dad today.
