TrackerBarking points: WRAL's dog blog
Hi! I'm WRAL's newsroom dog. I spend most of my work day sleeping in my mom's office, when I'm not getting petted and walked by my newsroom pals. I will also be featured on some upcoming WRAL-TV and WRAL.com segments.

It has been an adventurous week

Hi Folks!

Wow, this week has flown by! I’ve been so very busy and I’ve only gotten into a lil’ bit of trouble. LOL! Mom and Dad have been working with a gentle leader on me and I don’t like it one bit. I fight it and everybody I run into I go up against them and try to rub it off. I even managed to chew through one. My trainers think it is the best thing for me though, even over the easy harness. I guess they know what they are doing because I am less mouthy and rambunctious with the leader on. You know I like to pull on my leash and I can be a bit stubborn about ending play time with my doggie friends or going in my little kennel when I’m supposed to. But hey! If I did everything everybody wanted me to do every time, what would they have to do!?! So, I’m doing pretty good with my training and I love my trainers. They are soooooo patient with me. And they give me lots of good treats. Yummy! I had a little adventure this week too. Dad was taking out that big green can with all the cans and bottles in it to the street and he didn’t know Mom had let me out and I saw that swinging fence door open and I made a run for it. I ran to a neighbor’s house where there is this loud little doggie and I scratched and scratched on their front door and when they opened it I ran inside the house. They sure were surprised. And they were very nice and took me back to my house and you should have seen the look on Dad’s face when he opened the door. He thanked them and thanked them and I guess he was really happy to me back. I think so. Yeah, I’m pretty sure. Hmmmm. Anyway! I came to work with Mom today and first thing I went into the morning news meeting and grabbed a big piece of paper with writing on it and ran through the newsroom. I only tore it up a little bit though cause Mom appeared with a treat. How does she do that? Anyway, it was great seeing everybody. I hope you’ll come see me Saturday at the AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day event at the State Fairgrounds! I’ll be at the Holshouser Building from 11AM to 1PM and my trainer, Ms. Christie will be there at noon to answer questions. I’m even going to attempt to take the Canine Good Citizenship test, but don’t hold your breath that I’ll pass. LOL! After all, I am still a puppy!

Later!
