Barking points: WRAL's dog blog

Hi! I'm WRAL's newsroom dog. I spend most of my work day sleeping in my mom's office, when I'm not getting petted and walked by my newsroom pals. I will also be featured on some upcoming WRAL-TV and WRAL.com segments.

Doggie dayschool, here I come

Hi Everybody!

Whew, have I been busy! Well, first of all, I'm still growing like a weed. (I like to eat weeds, I wonder if that's why?) I have so much energy and I’m getting stronger every day. Mom says I look like a big-boy doggie more now than I do a puppy. I still have "puppy tendencies," though. That’s what Mom says. I think that’s a nice way of saying I still act up. But my training is helping a lot. I really like going to class and I'm learning all kinds of new tricks. And this is REALLY exciting! Tomorrow, I get to go to Doggie Dayschool! Yea! I get to go to school like my sisters! I get to spend all day at Teamworks playing with other doggies and learning new stuff. Mom says I need extra help since I'm going to be around a lot of people. I have a couple of really cool events coming up and she wants me to be "presentable." Ha! Well, of course I will be! I always act nice when all the attention is on me. But, sometimes I get bored in Mom's office so it will be a nice break for both me and Mom to go to dayschool.

Oh! Did you see me on the 5:30 News today? Me and my good buddy Mike Maze did the weather. Well, mostly Mike did the weather, but I helped, 'cause now every day at 5:30 we will have "Tracker's Dog-Walking Forecast". How cool is that? And when Mommy and I were going home through our neighborhood, there were all these doggies walking their owners and I thought, yep, they must have watched my forecast! I hope you'll tune in too! And I'll let you know how I do in school!

Later!

Hey Tracker. Gunther & Gidget here. We loved watching you on TV last night. We took our mom & dad for a walk this past weekend, and I (Gidget) got spooked by a really big dog. I think she just wanted to play, but we are still young pups, and she was a grown up pup. My leash got tangled up in my dad's legs, and I pulled him right down to the road with me, and then I took off running. My dad got strached up pretty good, but he is going to be ok. Keep up the good work Tracker. We will look forward to hearing from you soon! Your Pup Friends, Gunther & Gidget

Great Job Tracker! You did a great job giving us the forecast. I will be watching to make sure it is a good day to take my owner for a walk. Keep up the good work.
