Barking points: WRAL's dog blog

Hi! I'm WRAL's newsroom dog. I spend most of my work day sleeping in my mom's office, when I'm not getting petted and walked by my newsroom pals. I will also be featured on some upcoming WRAL-TV and WRAL.com segments.

Tracker returns with a visit to the WeatherCenter

Hi Everybody!

It’s been a while since I’ve written.

Mom and I had some more time off and she wasn’t feeling so hot, so we just kind of hung around the house.

But me? I’m feeling grrrr-eat! Whatever that stuff is Dr. Jodi gave me is really working and I have SOOOO much energy.

I’m really trying to be good, but gosh sometimes I just don’t know what to do with myself! Like yesterday, Mommy was taking a nap and I was bored. [She thought I was sleeping too, but I woke up before she did.] I tried to lick her face, but when I jumped up I saw what looked like those chew sticks Mom gives me. So I grabbed one. It wasn’t a chew stick but I decided to chew on it anyway. I was crunching away when I heard Mommy scream. Scared me half to death! She said “no, no, no, not my glasses!!!!!" Uh oh. I knew by the look on her face that glasses was something I was NOT supposed to chew on. She scooped up the pieces, yes pieces, and looked like she was going to cry. But she didn’t get mad at me cause she said she should have made sure they were out of my reach. And my reach is getting taller every day.

I felt bad anyway cause I could tell Mom was sad. She let me kiss her to show her how sorry I was and then she put me outside. She left me out there a while too.

Hmmm ... anyway, I didn’t mind cause I got to run and run and I dug up some of her plants and digging in dirt is truly one of my favorite things. Mom wasn’t too happy about that either, but I think she was just having a bad day cause she didn’t feel good. I’m sure it wasn’t anything I did.

So, we were back at work today and everybody seemed so happy to see me. I got treats and tummy rubs and nibbled on Mr. Mark’s shoes and played fetch in the newsroom and I just love all my TV family.

One of my favorite places to visit is the WeatherCenter. They always drop food on the floor and I just clean it up for them. LOL! And Mr. Mike and Mr. Nate were very busy cause of those storm things, but they took time out to take a picture with me. Mr. Greg was on the phone and I’m sure it was something VERY important -- after all, he is Greg Fishel. And Mr. Mike is so nice. He didn’t even mind when I took a little nibble out of his ear. He has a cat, but I can tell he is a puppy person, too.

Now I’m pooped again and I’m waiting on Mom to finish up her work so I can go home and play. I guess I should rest up too since I’m going to be on the 5:30 news tomorrow with Ms. Debra. I just love her!

See ya later!

Tracker you sound just like my Samantha! She is my new puppy who also thought that my glasses were her chew sticks.

I have missed this blog the last couple of days, I look forward to it everyday. Tracker, I know you thought the glasses were toys, my dogs do that all the time. You are such a good boy, keep giving your family kisses.

Hey Tracker, we have missed you the last couple days! My little man Mic has "mistaken" one pair of glasses and three cell phones for chewies in the last year so I think your doing great!

Oh, Tracker! I read your blog every day. I have a great dog, but when he was new to our home, he chewed up our vinyl floor and molding! For your mommy's sake, I hope you stick to the small stuff. Maybe pens and pieces of paper.

Hey Tracker, I love reading your blogs. I'm trying not to laugh about the glasses & plant thing. But My husband & I just got two new puppies (Gunther & Gidget) their picture is on the pet pix this week. Anyway, they have had a big time in our garden this year. The only thing left is my tomatoes, & that's only because we grew them upside down this year. It also reminds me of my Velvet; she chewed my cell phone charger into when she was a puppy. She is no longer with us. She was 15, and went to doggie heaven on 4/6/09. Our Trooper just went to doggie heaven this past Monday (7/13/09). But we still have three puppy dogs at home. Fella, Gunther, & Gidget. I'm so glad that you have a great mom & dad. It does my heart good to know that. Take care, and continue with the blog update. Try to stay out of trouble.
