Why Dress Dogs Who Are Already Suited Up for Winter?

Dear Miss Fifi:

Why do people put clothes on their pets? It looks stupid to see a dog, especially a proud, big dog in a shirt and pants or a big cat in a skirt. Ok, for a coat for those one fur layer in the winter—but northern dogs (like huskies and shepherds) are suited for the cold here. Clothes make them look silly and humiliated.
