Is This Internet Diagnosis Possible?

Dear Miss Fifi:
My female cat of two is urinating blood. I took away the cat tray since I want them to go outside. Last night and this morning she urinated on my bed, and then she came downstairs with me and urinated in the cat tray before I put the litter in. There was blood in her urine, but nothing in the urine on my bed. She has been again tonight and there's still blood in her urine. I read on the Internet that this can be caused by
stress? Is this possible.

- Susan

~~~
Dear Susan:
Yikes! Anytime Miss Fifi hears "blood" it immediately makes me think "veterinarian." The Internet diagnosis of stress may be correct, but your cat's health and wellness isn't worth speculating. If her urinating on your bed is unusual, then she's clearly trying to tell you something. Since she can't talk and reason with you, her behavior is speaking louder than words ever could. I think you should take her to the vet and have her checked out.
Woof.
You need to take her to the vet immediately!!!!! This could be minor, or a very serious problem. However, letting her out is a BIG mistake! Not only would you never know if she is sick, there are deadly diseases cats get from other cats, attacked by animals, get into poisons, etc. If you really care, you will keep her in!
