Sshh ... Miss Fifi may have found her VERY most favorite winning pet photo of all time. Would you check out the lap of luxury in which Lucybelle lives? Lounging indoors, dry on a rainy day, stretched comfortably in the air conditioning. What a life!
I had to talk to Lucybelle's human, Dr. Brett Caram. She lives in Chapel Hill with Lucybelle, the six year old wonder Beagle. "She's a total goof," said Brett. "Lucybelle's the self-appointed 'block captain' of our neighborhood."
Lucybelle loves food and is especially fond of cheese. "She sings (more like barks) along with me whenever I sing or practice piano," Brett continued. And even though Lucybelle thinks deer are giant dogs, and works tirelessly to try and get them to chase her on walks, Lucybelle seems like she's on the up and up. We all waiver from time to time.
Brett was holding Miss Fifi's attention as a spectacular human—because only a spectacular human would be tolerated by a spectacular dog—until I heard about what we'll term 'the Halloween situation'. You'll see the evidentiary documentation of the event in this investigative piece.
"I think she was rethinking her good life since I made her dress up as Underdog for Halloween activities," lamented Brett.
"Duh," said Lucybelle.
But it's all good with the Caram household. And Lucybelle has moved on from the scarring incident. But she did ask me to tell Brett that she's got her eye on you. And she'd like to be Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz this year.
