Why does my dog go to the bathroom outside and then as soon as he comes back in, poops and pees? I am scared to spank him for peeing when I get home and find it because I'm scared he will not know why he's being punished. What should I do?

Dear Allison:
Miss Fifi doesn't support spanking of any type, so my first reaction would be for you to not spank your dog at all. Rather, try to alter his behavior, or get in touch with one of the Pet Behavior Specialists listed over on the WRAL Pets page. I'm sure you two can come to a happy understanding that will help your dog learn better control and help you develop a bit more patience when you're coming home at the end of a long day.
