Dear Miss Fifi:
My humans were recently talking about growing tomatoes this spring, and mentioned that for the first year they were more worried about the drought than something called "aphids". So, I looked up aphids yesterday while the humans were at work. Looks like ladybugs are the best defense against them ... so my question, from one lady to another: Are ladybugs ladylike?

Dear Maggie:
No, ladybugs are not ladylike.
In fact, even the male ladybugs are referred to as "lady" bugs. I kind of like nature's twist on this bug, considering we girls are so often lumped into generalizations like "hey guys," and things like that. Ladybugs may not be ladylike, but they're certainly "Fifi-like".
Woof ... lady power!
