Miss Fifi always appreciates good humor from a human—it's a clear sign of a loving, humane home life. Take, for example, the silly photo that won this week's Pet of the Week contest. Genius! Sheer genius, I tell you.

"It is my 2nd birthday and they won't let me eat my cake until I take this stupid picture" notes the sign on poor, poor Jetta the two-year old Weimaraner. She's clearly a highly intelligent canine, with perfect posture, but who has been done in by her own excellent self-control.

Miss Fifi also appreciates good manners and a sense of decorum in her fellow members of the animal kingdom. Jetta's control is admirable, and I applaud her ability to avoid scarfing down the cupcake during her birthday photo session. Bravo Jetta!

Jetta lives in Hope Mills with her humans, Tom and Andrea Clements. "She is such a helpful and loving dog," they said. "In the mornings we open the front door and she runs outside to get the morning paper, which is nice especially now that it's been so cold."

Jetta keeps company with her favorite bear, and enjoys that her humans consider her their little baby. On a final note, I'm sure you'll be happy to learn that shortly after the winning photo was snapped, Jetta did, indeed, get to eat her birthday cupcake.
