I got all my work done in a half a day

Hi Everybody!

Well, it’s Friday and that makes everyone around here really happy!

I came into work today for only a half day and that made ME really happy.

I was so excited to see my WRAL family that I got a little over-excited and didn’t quite know how to calm myself.

I snatched some papers from Cullen Browder and grabbed a hair curler out of Erin Coleman’s bag [today was her last day at WRAL and we’re real sad about that, but happy for her] and chewed up some papers Mommy needed for a meeting and the next thing I know, Dad is at the front of the building to take me home. How does he know when I need him?!?!

But before Dad came to get me I got to be on LIVE@ with my good buddy Brian Shrader! He is so nice. He helped Mom give me cheese…yummy my favorite thing…and talked mostly to her, but I made sure everyone knew I was there. You could check it out on WRAL.com, but those silly Web editors said there were...

Loving life

Hi Folks!

Wow, have I had a busy week! Monday I went to Doggie Dayschool at Teamworks and got to play with my good doggie friend Daisy and work on some of my skills. And I just stayed right there and Mom and Dad came to their training class with Ms. Christie. Apparently, they need a lot of training. And that was so much fun! We played group games and worked on our puppy STAR skills and I really liked playing baseball with my teammates. Ms. Christie put paper bases on the floor and we had to do a certain skill at each base and go past home to score a run and the team with the most runs won. My team did pretty good, but I always hear Dad talking about stealing bases when he watches baseball on TV, so I thought I would give that a try to help us win. I grabbed first base and started to run with it, but I guess I wasn’t supposed to do that in our game cause I had to put it back and do the skill anyway. Everybody laughed though. So, then yesterday I came to work with...

Lots of yummy treats at COPE event

Hi Everybody!

Well, I’m back from the beach and boy, did we have an interesting trip! We had a great time, but it rained and rained and rained a couple of days and Mom said we had 8 whole inches of the wet stuff! Our back yard flooded and some neat creatures showed up…bull frogs and snapping turtles and birds and my Mom said she was surprised we didn’t have fishies swimming in the yard! I got to go to the beach though when it cleared up and I’m getting used to the wet sand and shells and stuff. I got in the water a little bit, but it’s hard with my leash on. It felt pretty good though! I got a nice warm bath after my little dip and that felt even better. We headed home Friday and stopped at my favorite resting place on I-40 and Dad got out of the car to go in the little building and left me behind! So, when Mommy opened the door to put on my leash, I jumped out of the car and ran after Dad. Mom started running after me and I thought, well...

School, recess and Labor Day vacation

Hi Folks!

I’ve had a great week! I LOVED going to Doggie Dayschool at Teamworks. Ms. Joanne worked with me and said I did good…especially for a young pup.

We worked on all the stuff I already know (except I need some help with down on cue…hmmmm) and then we played this game called the “Get it” game…which is a lot like the “fetch” game Mom and Dad play with me. She would throw a kibble, I’d run get it (of course) and when I would run back to her, she would give me more kibbles. That’s a win-win for me! I can’t wait to go back and play with my friend Daisy and see what else I can learn. School is def. fun and my favorite thing!

Then, Dad picked me up from school and took me and Lillie to the doggie park in Chapel Hill. WOW, is it big! And there were lots and lots of doggies there. I didn’t know which way to run, but I played with some big dogs and little dogs and in-between dogs and...

Doggie dayschool, here I come

Hi Everybody!

Whew, have I been busy! Well, first of all, I'm still growing like a weed. (I like to eat weeds, I wonder if that's why?) I have so much energy and I’m getting stronger every day. Mom says I look like a big-boy doggie more now than I do a puppy. I still have "puppy tendencies," though. That’s what Mom says. I think that’s a nice way of saying I still act up. But my training is helping a lot. I really like going to class and I'm learning all kinds of new tricks. And this is REALLY exciting! Tomorrow, I get to go to Doggie Dayschool! Yea! I get to go to school like my sisters! I get to spend all day at Teamworks playing with other doggies and learning new stuff. Mom says I need extra help since I'm going to be around a lot of people. I have a couple of really cool events coming up and she wants me to be "presentable." Ha! Well, of course I will be! I always act nice when all the attention is on me. But, sometimes...
