Green Tip: Water Saving Dishwashing Technique

Today's tip is one that I use frequently. If you'd like to save water when washing dishes, I find this technique to work well in terms of both getting dishes clean and saving water. You can do it yourself or you can pay a house cleaner to do it.

Today's tip is one that I use frequently. If you'd like to save water when washing dishes, I find this technique to work well in terms of both getting dishes clean and saving water. You can do it yourself or you can pay a house cleaner to do it.

1. Wet a sponge and put a generous amount of dish washing soap on it.

2. Briefly rinse the dishes just to make them damp, then turn the water off.

3. Scrub the dishes with the soapy sponge and stack the soapy dishes next to the sink.

4. Rinse the soap off the dishes.

Good luck and please tell me YOUR green plumbing and water use tips.
