Raleigh, N.C. — The number of North Carolinians with flu or flu-like illness has dropped for the fourth week in a row, according to a report from the state.
In the week ending March 22, healthcare providers reported 1.3 percent of their patients had flu-like symptoms, down from a high of 6.25 percent in mid-February.
As the flu season winds to a close, doctors are reminding people to continue taking these precautions:
- Wash your hands, wash your hands, and wash your hands.
- Cover your coughs and sneezes.
- If you have flu symptoms, seek medical care. There are prescription drugs that can relieve flu symptoms.
- If you are sick, stay home.
