Meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner, we have intense fog advisory this morning for our eastern counties. We are seeing some cooler temperatures there and as we cool down the atmosphere with a little bit of moisture in it, we tend to see that condensation or low cloud cover forming and it could be some fog in our eastern counties and mainly along and east of I 95 for this morning, our visibility has dropped down to almost a quarter of a mile in Goldsboro, half a mile in Rocky Mountain tends to change fairly regularly. So it would be a good morning to turn on the TV. And we'll show you how conditions are looking as you're heading out the door this morning. Take a look at Wilson and the whirly kicks are still this morning. And that is one of the ingredients of fog. If we do see breezy conditions, it tends to mix the atmosphere and fog doesn't develop very well, but it does develop better in calm winds. Our temperatures are mainly upper fifties to low sixties as you're heading out the door. This high pressure system is going to keep us dry today and tomorrow and hot we could end up with the 1st 90 degree day of the year at RDU today. And another one tomorrow, our temperatures heading out the door again, ranging from low fifties to low sixties across the region. High temperatures 90 in Raleigh Durham and in Fayetteville, we've hit 89 but we haven't quite hit that 90 degree mark. We will be a couple of degrees from records for Thursday and Friday looking at 92 is the record Thursday 93 on Friday and our highs will be 90 to 91. It is noticeably cooler over the weekend, but that's when we get back to that chance of some scattered thunderstorms even though we could hit 90 today. Our mucky meter is down in the comfy tolerable zone. It's not up there. It's steamy or tropical just yet, but it is headed there. Our humidity may drop off a little bit more this afternoon and we should stay in the 50 tomorrow, but we're in the upper sixties for Sunday and Monday and we will have a better chance for showers and storms. That's one of the reasons that we'll be a bit more muggy, but you'll feel it with those warm temperatures, we can range chances 40% Saturday, 50% chance on Sunday, we do have our new high resolution models in and it looks a bit dry or for Saturday morning, but then a better chance for storms in the afternoon. Sunday is likely to be the same.
