Consignment sales in Apex, Cary, Chapel Hill, Clinton, Dunn, Raleigh this week

You'll find plenty of opportunties to load up on back to school clothing and gear at sales this week.

You'll find plenty of chances to load up on back to school clothing and gear at six consignment sales across the region this week.

Here's where you'll find them:

Kidcycle, the big sale serving Durham and Orange counties, is at University Mall in Chapel Hill. It is open to the public 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday; and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday when items are half off. And there are a couple of other unique opportunities to shop here. Shoppers are encouraged to donate diapers at any time during the public sale. But from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, there's a special preview event where you can shop earlier than the general public if you donate a pack of diapers. Collected diapers will be donated to needy families in Durham through Welcome Baby. The sale also has a Dollar Day from noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 20 when all remaining items are just $1. All proceeds from that sale will be donated to Welcome Baby to be used to fund special initiatives such as Cribs for Kids.
Upscale Resale's public sale hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday when some items are half off. It's at the Cary Masonic Lodge, 1142 SE Maynard Rd. in Cary. The sale features new and gently used boutique children's clothes so the prices may be a little higher than what you'll see at a traditional consignment sale, but the quality is fantastic. It's definitely a great place to find adorable holiday outfits.
Go Bananas Kids Consignment at the Dunn National Guard Armory is new this year. It's open from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday when some items are half off. Read my earlier post for details.
The big Triangle Mothers of Twins and Triplets sale is 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Kerr Scott Building at the N.C. State Fairgrounds.
The 2nd Look Boutique is open to the public from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday when some items are half off. You'll find the sale at New Horizons Fellowship Annex, 820 E. Williams St., Apex.
And the Preppy Poodle in Clinton will hold its children's and ladies consignment sale Saturday at the Sampson County Exposition Center in Clinton.
