If your teen is looking for a way to help out, here's an option.

Cary is planning its first Reuse Rodeo and they're looking for volunteers ages 15 and up to help out.  The event is Sept. 17 at the Garmon Operations Center, 400 James Jackson Ave.

With the help of the Triangle Reuse Alliance, Cary will host local non-profits accepting gently used clothing, shoes, small appliances, furniture, toys, fabric and more. Volunteers are needed from 9:30 a.m. to noon or 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. to help people who come to the event and unload acceptable items. Volunteers will not handle hazardous materials.

To sign up, email spruce@townofcary.org or call (919) 469-4301. Click here for more information about this project and other projects aimed at keeping Cary clean.
