More Harry Potter rock coming to the Triangle
If the opening of the final Harry Potter movie isn't enough for you this weekend, the band Harry and the Potters will be singing all about the boy wizard at a concert on Monday.
Posted — UpdatedThe band credited for actually creating the whole wizard rock phenomenon with songs all about the Harry Potter book series will make a stop in Durham next week.
The free all-ages show is sponsored by the Durham Library Foundation. Brothers Paul and Joe DeGeorge started performing songs about Harry Potter in 2002 and have since released albums, starred in documentaries and developed a cult following (which I definitely witnessed when I went to one of their shows a few years ago when I was doing a story about wizard rock for The News & Observer).
More than a few concert goers will come dressed as their favorite characters. You'll see kids who have just started reading the series and 20-somethings who grew up with it.
