The Kids Exchange, billed as the largest consignment sale in the country, opens this week with pretty much anything you could ever need for your child.

The sale, which features the items of more than 3,000 consignors and will lure more than 30,000 shoppers this week, started about 14 years ago. It takes over the Jim Graham Building and Expo Building at the State Fairgrounds. You'll find clothes, toys, baby equipment and other gear.

The shopping begins for the public on Friday (there are early shopping hours for consignors and volunteers). The hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday (when some items are half off).
