Congratulations to our three winners - 643dp, moo and mochabrown. If that's you, please click here to email me!

Father's Day is this Sunday. If the dad in your life loves barbecue, here's a gift for him (and for you too mom ... since you won't have to cook)!

I'm giving away a $25 gift certificate to Dickey's Barbecue Pit to three lucky winners! The certificates are good for the restaurant's Durham, Cary and Raleigh locations. And don't forget that kids eat for free at Dickey's on Sundays. That's when one child, age 12 and under, eats for free with the purchase of one adult entree.

What do you need to do to enter this contest? One or both of the following:

1. Like the WRAL Go Ask Mom Facebook page.

2. And for those of you who already like the Go Ask Mom Facebook page or aren't active on Facebook, answer the following question in the comments of this post: What will you be doing for Father's Day?

This contest ends at 5 p.m. June 15. Three winners will be picked at random from all entries. The winners' user names will be posted on this post by 9 p.m. June 15 and an email will be sent to the winners. Winners' names also will be posted on Go Ask Mom's Facebook page by 9 p.m. June 15. The winners must respond by noon June 17 or a runner-up will be selected. Good luck!

We will go to church and then spend the afternoon with family.

  • medlinmari Jun 14, 2011

We haven't really made any plans, other than going to church.

We will attend the Father's Day program during our Sunday morning service at church. Our daughter, who graduated high school this year, will also have her church graduation program
Sunday morning, so we will be doubly blessed on Sunday.

Yikes! I haven't made any plans yet... I suppose I'll just give my hubby a day off from the to-do list :-). That, and maybe try out bowling with the kids for the first time.

A perfect father's Day - morning hike at Eno River, afternoon swim at the pool, free dinner at Dickey's!

I will be making sure that my husband has a wonderful day as the kids are grown and he will miss them greatly so I have plans to make a big breakfast, then walk around the lake followed by swimming in the pool and finishing with a great dinner.

Absolutely nothing...just hanging out with my family. :)

I will be doing my best to give my husband a peaceful relaxing day despite the best efforts of the little ones to do otherwise. I will also be working on my newest children's book about my own dad who passed away 2 years ago. It is written from the prospective of my children about him, their grandaddy, and how in their eyes he is a superhero.
