Phineas and Ferb headed to Durham for live show

Posted June 3, 2011

It seems like a long way away right now but .... Disney’s Phineas and Ferb: The Best LIVE Tour Ever! will stop at the Durham Performing Arts Center in March 2012.

Tickets, which start at $17 a piece, go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday. There are two showtimes - 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. March 31, 2012.

My kids and I have actually never seen this show, but I know it has a huge following. Here's what the DPAC's website says about it:

"Mom! Phineas and Ferb are going on a LIVE tour!!!” School‘s out for summer and anything is possible as Phineas and Ferb create their biggest invention yet -- Disney’s Phineas and Ferb: The Best LIVE Tour Ever! Phineas, Ferb, and the whole tri-state area gang embark on a bold escape jumping out from behind your TV and onto the stage in a live action adventure – right in your hometown! And, before you can wonder, ’Hey, where’s Perry?” the beloved pet platypus shifts to his secret double life as Agent P to foil another one of Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s evil plans. Musical madness abounds in an escapade so awesome that even Candace can’t help but join the hilarious hijinks. It’s the ultimate end to summer vacation, so seize the day ‘cause Phineas and Ferb are gonna do it all!"

I got this in my email and am SOOOO excited! My 3 year old loves Phineas and Ferb, and we love it just as much- such clever humor, yet fun topics. And the characters are really decent people. My ringtone on my phone is the Agent P theme song! (yes, I'm a nerd!). Wish it was coming sooner!
