Baby Loves Disco, the dance party for young kids and their parents with a real DJ and music, has two events this weekend in the Triangle as part of its 2011 Superhero Tour.
The first is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at The ArtsCenter in Carrboro. Here you can dance the early evening away with the tots. Pizza and adult drinks will be for sale. There will be crafts and snacks for the kids and some dance contests. Tickets are $10 per person and $35 for four people. Click here to buy tickets.
And from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, H&M, the tour sponsor, will present Baby Loves Disco at Crabtree Valley Mall. You'll also find crafts and other activities in addition to the getting down part of it. And you'll find me ... I'll be there helping out at the sock puppet table. So come by and say hi. This event is free.

What's the difference between the two? The ArtsCenter event will definitely be more intimate, more of a dinner and disco kind of event. Kids, for the most part, will be no older than six, I'm told. And there won't be any lines.

The crowd at Crabtree will be older and it will get pretty busy too. But, it's free.

For more on Baby Loves Disco, including some video of its event at The ArtsCenter in November, see my earlier posts in the box above.
