Month of Mom: Win a free bra fitting, bra from The Bra Patch

I've been shopping at The Bra Patch for more than a decade now. As I've written before, I have never been able to find my true bra size at a regular department or lingerie store - leaving me with ill-fitting bras and a burgeoning back problem. When I moved to the Triangle and found The Bra Patch those many years ago, I finally found a store that had exactly what I needed.

The store has moved and changed owners since I bought my first bra there and it's only gotten better. While it specializes in hard-to-fit sizes, it offers a full range of styles and sizes. You'll also find nursing, maternity and mastectomy bras along with bridal and formal foundation wear. The store has been with me through a wedding, two babies and in between.

Owner Ruth Dowdy knows exactly how to find the right fit. When you go to The Bra Patch, be sure to talk to Ruth or one of her staff. If the style of bra you're looking for isn't in her store, Ruth will search it out for you and order it or just pull it from the back. Some of the bras they have are not on the floor.

In other words, I recommend the store, which is at 1603 North Market Dr. near where Wake Forest Road splits into Falls of Neuse Road and Old Wake Forest Road. (And for what it's worth, I have never received any kind of discount or freebie at The Bra Patch. I just love supporting this local business because it's supported me, so to speak, for so long).
