Baby Loves Disco, the dance party for young kids and their parents, will return to the Triangle on Friday, June 3. It's set for 5 p.m.to 8 p.m. at The ArtsCenter in Carrboro.

Baby Loves Disco made its first stop in the Triangle last November after I pestered their publicist about when the popular event, with parties around the world, would ever make to the Triangle. The show sold out more quickly than anybody expected. Watch the video for some scenes from last year's event.

This time around, about twice as many tickets will be available. Last time, organizers didn't anticipate using The ArtsCenter's lobby for part of the event which would have allowed them to sell more tickets. Organizers also don't want the events to be packed with people so parents can keep an eye on their dancing tots at all times.

Tickets are $10 per person and $35 for four people. Click here to buy tickets and to find out more about Baby Loves Disco. Baby Loves Disco's 2011 Superhero Tour is presented by H&M.

Baby Loves Disco started out opening up nightclubs during the day for parents and kids to dance the afternoon away with tunes spun by real DJs. Events now are held at malls, hotels and other places, such as The ArtsCenter. It also includes other activities for kids including crafts.

Organizers are looking for local businesses who are willing to volunteer to help man the activity tables in exchange for some promotion. If you're interested, email kelly@babylovesdisco.com.
