I'm posting a reminder about JC Raulston Arboretum's third event for kids because I'm so excited that it's now offering programs for kids. I know the first event was really popular.

Superhero Plants: Protectors of Clean Water is from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. May 21 at the arboretum, 4415 Beryl Rd. in Raleigh. It's for kids ages 8 and up and their parents. The fee is $8 per child. No charge for parents.

The program will focus on plants that can do it all - survive flooding and drought and remove pollutants from water. Preregistration is required as space is limited. Call 919-513-7007 to register.

And learn more about the arboretum in earlier posts about the new children's programs and great places for kids.
