American Tobacco in Durham is starting a new series of programs for kids this Sunday called "Explore ... Create ... Move."

The four-part series starts Sunday at American Tobacco's Bay 7. Each event features an expert leader and a theme that will attract a wide variety of kids.

“We’d like to be a destination for everyone, and the new series fits perfectly with our FOX 50 Family Fest and Great American Tobacco Duck Race every fall," said Michael Goodmon, vice president of realty for Capitol Broadcasting Company, which owns the campus, in a press release. (The company also owns WRAL.com).

Each event requires registration and a $5 entry fee. Click here for all the details and how to register. Here's the schedule:
  • Sunday, May 1, 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.: Brickz 4 Kidz. Explore engineering and architecture through Legos (recommended for ages 6-12).
  • Sunday, May 15, 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.: Explore! Rhythm, Puppets and Reuse. Cathy Kielar and ventriloquist puppet Harriet the Hare plus drum-making (ages 3-7).
