Natural sciences museum offers special programs for homeschoolers

Posted March 30, 2011

The N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences has a couple of events for homeschoolers coming up:

Prairie Ridge Ecostation will have a Homeschooling Day from 9 a.m. to noon April 11. Pre-registration is required. And children must be accompanied by at least one adult. It's $4 per person (kids 3 and under are admitted free).

Kids will take part in two special programs at Prairie Ridge, which is in west Raleigh. Check my earlier post for more about this great place to explore. Click here for details about Homeschooling Day and how to register.

And on April 12, the museum is offering a special discount to homeschoolers to its special exhibit Animal Grossology. Tickets will be $4 per person for ages 5 and up.

The column is called "Go Ask Mom", not that only Mom's are being addressed. It's written by a mom.

Hey iriemom - you caught me mid putting my daughter back to sleep. I'll add that my husband asks me the same question.

Hey GarnerDoug! Glad you're finding it useful! And I hear you :)

My husband and I both take our kids to events and participate in their daily activities - so I agree. It's time to include dads and make them feel included.

As always, great info. Self-employed Dad asks: Go ask Mom/Dad? It is 2011.
