Consignment sales set for Apex, Clinton, Morrisville this week

Updated: 2011-02-21 14:05:48

It's a big week for consignment shoppers.

First, the massive Kids EveryWear at the Morrisville Outlet Mall is open. This is a big, two-week event where there are lots of opportunities for early shopping for people who are consignors, volunteers, pregnant moms, first time moms and more.

Shopping actually started at this sale for consignors and volunteers a week ago, but there are special shopping hours for those pregnant moms and first-time, adopting and foster parents (with kids under one year) on Tuesday. You will need to register online with the sale if you want to shop early.

The sale also is holding a special baby shower on Tuesday. Shoppers who bring a gift for a local charity can shop before the general public does. You'll also need to sign up for the sale's email newsletter and bring proof that you did that.

Before you go, check the website for all the details on how you can qualify for these early shopping hours and what type of gifts they need.

The sale is open to the general public 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday (when some items are half off) and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. next Monday (when some items are as much as 75 percent off). Meet the moms who oversee this massive effort in my post on the sale from last year.

Apex United Methodist Church's Friendship Closet is open to the public 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Some items are half off on Saturday. Proceeds from this sale are donated to local charities who help women and children in need. The sale also issues gift certificates for groups to shop at their sale. Last August, the group was able to help Wake Interfaith Hospitality Network, Christian Life Home, Project Comfort, the WakeMed Neonatal ICU and Durham Rescue Mission, among others.

And Passed On, a new sale at 117 Vance St. in Clinton, will be open to the public 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Thanks for sharing cmk617!

The Apex Methodist Church sale is one of my favorites. The quality of the merchandise is good and it's not too big. I've consigned and purchased from them and had nothing but positive experiences.
