Meredith College is once again collecting gently used evening gowns and dresses for The Cinderella Project.

The Meredith Fashion Association is leading up the effort to collect dresses to give to high school students in the area who might not otherwise be able to afford one. The dresses will be given out at a space in the North Hills shopping center next month. Any dresses not given away will be donated to Goodwill. Donated dresses should be only three to four years old.

You can drop the dresses off at Meredith College's Martin Hall, room 204, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays through March 15. For details, contact Dr. Diane Ellis at 919-760-8412 or ellisdi@meredith.edu.

I donated some bridesmaid dresses last year. It was nice to get them out of my closet and to know that they were going to a great cause.
