Cary church to hold consignment sale this week

Here's your weekly consignment sale reminder:

The First United Methodist Church of Cary will open its children's consignment sale to the public this Friday and Saturday. Proceeds from the sale, now in its 19th year, go to local missions serving women and children.

Organizers are trying something new this year, offering Friday evening shopping hours from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. for a $5 donation. Money raised during these special shopping hours will go to a local family in need.

The sale also is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. to noon Saturday. Some items are half off from 11 a.m. to noon. Free admission on Saturday. (Note that the sale is closed from 10:45 a.m. to 11 a.m. so volunteers can organize before the half price sale begins).
