Training for Baby: Hit my trainer in the face

Oops! Kathy clocks her trainer.

I’m sure a lot of people trying to lose weight fantasize about hitting their trainer or exercise instructor in the face.

While Trainer Anthony is always very kind to me, I must have some pent up aggression toward him because the other day I hit him.

Let me explain: I was lying down on a workout bench (in the free weight area, which I never go in because it scares me!) and lifting two eight pound weights straight up and then bending my arms, dipping the weights toward my forehead.

I told Trainer Anthony that I was afraid I was going to hit him.

“Oh no, you won’t hit me,” he said.

Then, it happened. I didn’t even notice that I hit him in his little button nose until he said something.

“Oww, you hit me,” he said laughing and clutching his nose. There wasn’t any bloodshed, but he said it did hurt.

I just kept lifting my weights, oblivious to his pain. I felt bad, but I did warn him.

While I am talking about hitting things, I have been taking kickboxing classes lately. I really enjoy it.

There is something satisfying about punching and kicking an imaginary enemy. It really gets out your aggression and makes you feel strong.

Have you ever tried kickboxing or boxing? Who or what do you feel like punching?
